Season two · Java 1.21 · no mods

The Earth, rebuilt at 1:543.
Your city goes on it.

A survival server on the real Earth, shrunk 543 times. Iron doesn't spawn in the jungle and wheat won't grow on tundra, so anything your ground can't give you has to come by caravan. Claim land, build a town, join a nation. When talking stops working, you nail a war yoke to someone's border.

How it plays

The map is the ruleset

Where you spawn decides what you can dig

Ore, crops and animals follow the real world. A desert town never sees wheat. A taiga town never sees sugarcane. Whatever your ground won't give you, some other town is sitting on a pile of.

Trade

Everything moves by caravan

Goods travel as packs on horses, camels, llamas and boats. A shod horse flies on a road and bogs down in sand. You can rob a loaded caravan, but then you wear the bandit's mark.

Towns

A totem, then a nation

Plant a totem, claim chunks with a map you actually hold, and grow from one plot to a town to a nation. The city key is a real item in someone's pocket, and it can be stolen.

War

Sieges on a clock, not log-off raids

A war yoke on the border gives the defender 24 hours of warning, then a two-hour window to fight it out. Break the totem and you pick what happens: annex the town, make it a vassal, or burn it down. Hitting a place while everyone's asleep gets you nothing.

Time

Noon here is midnight across the map

The planet is tilted and turning, so your capital's afternoon is deep night on the far side. Winters run short up north while it's high summer down south. The globe above shows it as it happens.

Mail

Shout 150 blocks, or send a letter

Chat carries 150 blocks and then it's gone. Anything further travels as a letter through a postal box and arrives at caravan speed.

Claim a piece of geography

Everest, the Sahara, the Carpathians. They're all on the map at scale, and a town will be able to buy one and put its name on it. Browse them on the world map.
